Ikoria Commander League
Speaking of Magic Commander, it seems like a good time to mention that with the release of Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths, there will be a new set of Commander decks being released on prerelease weekend (Friday, April 17th). Our April/May Commander League will revolve around these preconstructed decks. Week 1, players will use these decks as built. Each week following, players will be able to add in cards to slightly alter the deck. This is a perfect time for beginners to jump in and give our Commander League a try. GriffoNest Games is now taking preorders on these decks.
Tuesday Night Arkham and Marvel Cards
On a rotating basis, we will be hosting Arkham Horror and Marvel Champions Card Game nights. These "living card games" by Fantasy Flight requires you to have a character deck which you use to overcome various situations set forth within each game. Each set you buy comes with a specific set of cards that can be used to build your character decks. Whether you are stopping the events set in motion by evil cultists in service of some sinister being or preventing Ultron from global conquest, these games are incredibly customizable and amazing to play.
Warhammer Underworlds is Coming to Saturdays
Starting on March 7th at noon, we will begin our first Warhammer Underworlds league. We will use the Relic format. This is an introductory league for all skill levels - including beginners. We have lots of Underworlds product in stock and no shortage of players willing to teach the game. In April, we will begin Underworlds Clash in that time slot.
Saturday Game Nights Will Be Every Other Saturday
Until now, Game Night has been every Saturday night. While we have enjoyed meeting a lot of great new people, we feel that the need for some increased family time is necessary. To do this, we are reducing the amounts of Game Nights each month to be every other Saturday. We will have Game Night this week. The next one after that will fall on March 14th. We will still be open until 7:00 PM on those nights with no Game Night.
